Dr. Dana Truesdale is a distinguished dentist and community leader, originally from Vacherie, Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor’s from Dillard University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. Dr. Truesdale’s commitment to excellence led her to complete a General Practice Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. As CEO of Innovation Dental Center since 2013, Dr. Truesdale focuses on comprehensive dentistry and the crucial link between oral health and overall well-being. She is a member of prestigious organizations like the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and the Pankey Institute. Recognized as one of Baltimore’s Top Three Rated Dentists, Dr. Truesdale is also a Major in the Army National Guard, demonstrating her dedication to both her profession and her country. Dr. Yu is a highly skilled and motivated general dentist who is dedicated to providing the best quality of care for her patients. Her journey in dentistry began during her undergraduate studies at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS University) where she was enrolled in their dental hygiene program. During this time, she developed a passion for the mouth-body connection and preventative dentistry, and decided to pursue a career as a dentist. After graduating MCPHS University with magna cum laude honors, Dr. Yu moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Once completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2022, Dr. Yu has proudly served communities in her home state of Maryland.
Born into a family of artists and engineers, Dr. Yu understands the importance of function and aesthetics. She is well versed in restorative and cosmetic treatment, prosthodontics, and more. She is dedicated to improving patient’s quality of life as well as restoring confidence in their smile. She prides herself in being a lifelong learner and will continue to educate herself on new innovations in dentistry that could provide successful care to her patients.
Dr. Yu enjoys hanging out with friends and family, traveling, and exploring new restaurants. She also enjoys running marathons with her husband, Ian. Her goal is to one day qualify for the Boston Marathon.
